Jessica Medling, Head of Content and Digital Projects, Media Trust

Jessica heads up Media Trust's marketing & communications training and events and marketing capacity building for support organisations in the Third Sector, and is responsible for the rollout of the Community Voices project. Jessica has 10 years experience in strategic marketing management for large brands such as Nokia, Adidas / Reebok, and the NFL (American Football) where she was Marketing Director. In particular she has headed up digital marketing strategies in both Europe and Asia and more recently for grassroots nonprofit projects in developing countries. Prior to joining Media Trust, Jessica provided online and offline marketing consultation for small voluntary organisations in England and overseas, as well as working with startup mobile tech companies to develop their customer/end user marketing. Helen Barrett, Online Communications Editor, Third Sector

Helen Barrett is online editor at Third Sector magazine, where she has also held the roles of features editor and reporter. She also worked as a freelance journalist for The Observer, the Guardian and a range of customer publishing magazines. Before training as a journalist, Helen worked for the Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre (now Clearcast) as a senior editorial manager, advising advertising agencies and their clients on broadcast advertising regulation and consumer law. Helen is interested in digital media, blogging and current affairs. She is married to Guardian journalist Jon Dennis. They have two children and live in London. You can read Third Sector here
Ian Emes, Director and Artist

Ian Emes is a world-famous and award winning Director and Artist. His credits include, amongst many iconic feature films, television programmes and short movies, directing Pink Floyd's first animated concert film 'Dark Side of the Moon', including the famous Time sequence, Roger Waters' 'The Wall', Duran Duran's 'The Chauffeur' music video, 80's cult classic film with Keith Allen 'The Yob' through to BAFTA nominated children's programmes 'Sir Gadabout' and 'Cavegirl'. Ian has recently completed his brilliant first novel 'Grangsters' and has just been nominated for a BAFTA for the TV show 'Bookaboo'. To find out more visit Ian's website
Paul Hoskins, Managing Director and Founder, Precedent

Paul is the founder and owner of Precedent, and the reason this competition is happening. Formerly with the branding agency Wolff Olins and Allied International Designers, Paul has been creating and developing of corporate identity programmes and brands since the 1980's. Since setting-up Precedent, Paul has built it into a highly successful London agency with offices in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and now in Perth Australia, which is in the top tier of sector ranking lists. Paul remains passionate about making a difference and still gets involved in many projects acting as a communications and brand consultant. To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, it was Paul who decided to give something back and wanted to use the opportunity to make a real difference to the winning charity.
Dean Russell, Head of Digital Marketing, Precedent

Dean is a former research physicist and has worked in new media for over ten years, where he developed a deep understanding of Web2.0 and Social Media Marketing. He writes a regular new media column for Third Sector magazine and Cue Entertainment magazine. Dean is a member of the NHS National Clinicians Reference panel and was recently the Vice Chair of the NHS HealthSpace patient reference panel. Dean has been involved with accessibility for several years, writing the UK's first professional accessibility course, delivering the World's first accessible Flash application and sat on the review panel for the PAS 78 UK accessibility guidelines. Outside of work, Dean is also a school governor.

Within the charity sector, having worked with the likes of RSPCA, British Heart Foundation, Crimestoppers and Leonard Cheshire DisAbility, we have both experience and expertise to make a massive difference to the winning charity, whether they want a full web strategy and site or need a microsite to promote that burning issue. Whoever wins, our team are keen to get fully behind it and will even give up some of their own time to make a difference.
